Executive Principal's Message
Mission: At Borchert Loop Elementary, we are committed to launching every learner on a purposeful path to excellence by inspiring curiosity, building strong character, and empowering confident, diverse leaders to pursue excellence in all they do.
Vision: Inspiring Leaders to Excellence and Beyond!
Dear Borchert Loop Parents,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! It is an incredible honor to serve as the inaugural Executive Principal and to welcome you to our brand-new Borchert Loop Elementary School. BLE is more than just a new campus—it’s a place where every student will thrive in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment while receiving a high-quality education. We are dedicated to making this a year full of meaningful growth and learning for every one of our Borchert Loop Leaders! #UNLOCKINGPOTENTIAL
This year’s theme is “To Excellence and Beyond.” At Borchert Loop Elementary, we believe every student has the power to achieve greatness when they are supported, challenged, and inspired each day. We are committed to helping every student grow at least 1.5 years in both reading and math, while also striving to become the very best version of themselves. By setting high expectations, encouraging goal setting, and promoting personal accountability, we are launching our Borchert Loop Leaders on a path toward success—this year and beyond.
Our staff will also be fostering a growth mindset, both academically and socially. You’ll notice our classrooms are filled with our 7 Habits of Leader in Me. This whole-school framework helps develop students’ confidence and leadership skills for the 21st century. The habits—Be Proactive, Begin with the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win-Win, Seek First to Understand, Synergize, and Sharpen the Saw—are embedded into our classrooms, curriculum, and campus culture. These principles are the foundation of the positive environment we strive to maintain at Borchert Loop Elementary.
#LOCKHEARTFORPEOPLE
Strong communication and consistent attendance are essential to student success. When families and schools work in partnership, students thrive both academically and emotionally. I encourage you to stay actively involved—volunteer as a reading mentor, join our PTO, and stay informed by reading our weekly newsletters through ParentSquare. You can also visit our website at http://ble.lockhartisd.org, or follow us on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) at @BorchertLoop for the latest news and updates.
This year marks my 25th year with Lockhart ISD, and as a proud graduate of the district myself, I will always be a lion at heart. As I continue serving as Executive Principal for both Plum Creek and Borchert Loop Elementary, please know that I remain fully committed each and every day to providing all students with a safe, supportive, and high-quality learning environment. My door is always open, and I truly value your questions, feedback, and partnership. I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the year ahead and look forward to a meaningful year of collaboration, growth, and shared leadership.
Sincerely,
Jamee Griebel, Executive Principal
